What does an industrial mechanic do with us?
Industrial mechanics ensure that everything runs smoothly in the production of our transmissions – in the truest sense of the word. They manufacture components, assemble complete drives, test functions and maintain machines. In short, nothing moves without them.
What does an office management clerk do with us?
Office management clerks keep the business running – in the background, but indispensable. You organize processes, communicate with customersand suppliers, take care of orders, figures and documents. In short, you will ensure that the office, administration and production work together smoothly.

Your possible tasks
- Assembly of gearboxes and motors
- Testing of components for dimensional accuracy and quality
- Receive and store goods
- Checking the accompanying documents and the goods for completeness and integrity
- Transport of goods within the warehouse
- Scanning, picking and packing activity
- Pack and ship orders
- Carrying out filling, ensiling, unloading and shipping activities
- Various activities in the production of gearmotors (assembly activities)
What to bring:
- At least 16 years old
- You have an active student status
- You like to work effectively in a team

What is the internship week?
The internship week is an initiative in which students can take part in 1- to 3-day short internships during the summer holidays – uncomplicated and digitally organized.
Who is allowed to take part in the internship week?
Everyone who wants to get to know different professions is welcome at the internship week – regardless of age or educational background. Whetheryou are a student, graduateor career changer: If you are interested in technology and practice, we look forward to hearing from you. There are no further eligibility requirements.
Who can apply for a student internship at Ruhrgetriebe as part of the internship week?
All students from the 8th grade onwards from Mülheim an der Ruhr and the surrounding region can participate. If you are interested in technology, craftsmanship or insights into an industrial company, you have come to the right place!
Does it cost money to participate in the internship week?
No, participation is completely free of charge for all students – even at Ruhrgetriebe. All you need to do is register and bring interest, and we will take care of everything else.
What can I experience with you?
You will gain insights into [e.g. our technology / production / administration / IT / logistics] and can take on small tasks yourself – practical and exciting!
Do I have to have previous experience?
No. You just need curiosity, motivation and fun in getting to know something new.

When do the internships take place?
Our short internships take place during the summer holidays. You can see the exact dates in the portal.
Will I get a certificate of attendance?
Yes, at the end of your short internship we will be happy to issue you with a certificate of participation.
Can I stay longer if I like it?
If everything fits, we are open to further internship days or a later application for a longer student internship.
