According to existing standards, in force since 16 June 2011, 3-phase low-voltage motors with precisely defined characteristics and rated outputs between 0.75 kW and 375 kW must at least achieve efficiency class IE2.Read more... -

Although there are currently no plans for legal regulations regarding the ecologically sound design of electric motors in the lower output range, RUHRGETRIEBE has done a great deal of work in the area of energy saving and is going one step further.
Consequently, worm and helical worm gears with 3-phase low-voltage motors with outputs from just 0.09 kW upwards are now also available with efficiency class IE2.
